A unique acrylic and oil pastel on canvas painting based on an original Polaroid I took of David Sylvian at a Japan rehearsal session not long after we had struck up a friendship. I thought that David carried a kind of ‘Saintly’ aura hence the painting’s title and me asking him to look heavenward…a pose I note he revisited in recent years. The small 12 × 9.5 x .75 inches/ 30 × 24 × 32 centimetres format of the piece plays on the stature of a Warhol Polaroid Big Shot and would create a super-cool focal point in even the smallest space. Painting is signed and dated on the reverse and comes with a certificate of authenticity. Free shipping.
