A unique acrylic and oil pastel on canvas painting based on an original Polaroid I took of Steve Jansen at a Japan rehearsal. I had been invited to the rehearsal by David Sylvian soon after we had struck up a friendship. I didn’t really know Jansen but was struck by his handsome, Presley-ish look which I capture in this piece. The small 12 × 9.5 x .75 inches/ 30 × 24 × 2 centimetres format plays on the stature of a Warhol Polaroid Big Shot and would create a super-cool focal point in even the smallest space.
