Gucci Grindr/Steve Bond original painting on canvas

A unique acrylic, oil pastel and airbrushed acrylic on canvas painting based on a Polaroid I took of London gay scene ‘face’ Steve Bond in 1993. Steve was a regular at ‘Trade’ the infamous 24 hour gay rave for which I painted flyers and club decor and I used him as a model for several flyers at the time. I like the juxtaposition of luxury goods with a gay dating app which seem to go together suspiciously well. The small 12 × 9.5 x .75 inches / 30 × 24 × 2 centimetres format plays on the stature of a Warhol Big Shot Polaroid and would create a super-cool focal point in even the smallest space. Painting is signed and dated on the reverse and comes with a certificate of authenticity. Free shipping .
