Bowie and Masks
Mark Wardel's David Bowie masks were originally created as a sell out edition for the Victoria and Albert Museum's 2013 David Bowie Is exhibition and have have since been featured on TV, in books and magazines as well as purchased by Bowie / Isolar for inclusion in the official David Bowie Archive now sited at the V&A Storehouse East where three of Wardel's masks are available to view. In this collection Wardel explores aspects of the mask and it's original 1974 creation in a series of paintings and drawings alongside a selection of his masks both contemporary and from his archive.
